Deployment Scrapbook Layouts
These are some of the scrapbook pages I did while Q was deployed to Iraq. The top two are the day he left ...my aunt was the photographer and I thought she did a great job capturing the emotion of the day. The bottom layout is of the Prayer Wall erected at our church in honor of our local troops. Just thought I'd share a few pages of creativity.

Those are just beautiful. I'm tearing up just thinking about that day coming up, the day my hubby leaves.
BUT it helps to know others have made it through this!!
Thank you Mindi! This was a great way for me to cope and journal my thoughts and keep a lasting record of this time in our lives. Do you have a deployment date yet?
We liked them both. Your experience has already begun to reveal how it will be helpful to others about to embark upon the same journey of 'deployment' that you and Q just completed.
I look at the board entitled "edge of protection" and I see the photo of Southsides' Prayer wall,and I can think of only one thing to share, the wall is only a symbol .
A symbol of faith, the faith behind the prayers, and everything it took to reconcile many things, many aspects of life. Sis it is your faith and the faith of many others combined , exemplified by prayer and attested to by Gods hedge of protection placed , around Q and your family, and many others. You have grown so much in Spirit and self realization . I pray that God continues that 'hedge'. It was a test of faith. You passed the test and even turned it into a way to minister to others. Probably one of the hardest things to do.
Alot of folks think that no good can come from war or death. But we must always remember Jesus turned even the cruelist form of death, being crucified, into a way of having life, and not just life , but eternal life... it really makes one understand the verse that states, "take up your cross and follow me..." Your a blessing to many as evidenced by your blog friends. May God always guide and aid you in that out reach...
