A Quick Thought on Psalm 23:2

...ok, this thought keeps rolling around in my head, so I decided I'll blog it and maybe then I can go to sleep!!!

Psalm 23:2 says, "He lets me rest in green meadows;"

Have you ever stopped to consider why the meadows are green?? It takes alot of fertilizer (aka manure) to make a lush, green meadow....so why are we surprised that the Christian walk is riddled with difficulties? Yes, God does promise rest and green meadows, but there are trials on the way. Be prepared! Don't be caught off guard.

Just my 2 cents worth on this simple sentence.

I am glad you blogged this, Ginger - very wise words. I have never thought about those words that way. Thank you.

Yes, that's a very insightful thought. The path IS riddled with difficulties. But with green pastures just around the bend, where we can rest when times get tough.

Sounds like sis has been brain stormin a bit... funny how things just hit ya like a bolt of lightning...or a whisper, kinda sheds new light on the old cliche' , "the grass is always greener on the other side". Because when you think about it, that cliche may seem appealing, but is never true. With god dealing with everything is possible, even the perverbial 'manure' ....

Thank you Gin, I needed to read this today. God has really been fertilizing my pasture this past few months and it is really starting to stink around here:)
THANKS FOR A DIFFERENT OUTLOOK.
